MintMech is an adaptable team of multi-skilled engineers with a passion for solving problems. Based in Penryn, Cornwall and working around the world. We support the offshore, marine and heavy industries with bespoke engineering solutions.
Our story
MintMech was founded in 2018 by engineers who came up through major offshore drilling and foundation-installation specialists, and who wanted to do things differently. A team of around 20 now works across engineering, production and workshop, operations and project management.
Our approach
We believe in practical, impactful solutions. We offer a one-stop route through design, build and commissioning, acting as a trusted partner rather than a vendor. Our commitment to “black and white engineering” means clear, straightforward solutions without unnecessary complexity, definite answers, clear specifications and decisions you can build on.
What we do
We work in three modes: engineering services (design, analysis, drawings, specifications and on-site support); integrated equipment delivery (fabrication, machining, assembly, integration and commissioning under single-party accountability); and qualified engineers placed at client sites. We deliver fully fabricated and assembled equipment, turnkey. We manage fabrication end-to-end through a trusted UK and international supplier network, matching the right specialist to each job and controlling quality, NDT, inspection, machining and coatings throughout. The value we add is the design, the integration and the judgement that make it all work as one accountable result.
Region and service areas
Cornwall has a deep engineering heritage and we operate from a modern facility in Penryn. But we’re not limited by location or sector. We go where others won’t – geographically and conceptually – whether that’s around the world, across industries or into projects others consider too niche. The disciplines that make our equipment safe and reliable in the harshest offshore conditions – proven technology and single-party accountability – transfer directly to other mission-critical, security- and resilience-focused applications where the cost of failure is high.
