Capability
Design verification, analysis & assurance
Clear technical confidence, proportionate, not over-engineered.

Verification, analysis and assurance are built into every project. The objective is to demonstrate that systems meet their functional, structural and safety requirements across all relevant operating and fault conditions and to do it pragmatically, avoiding over-engineering while keeping adequate margins.
Engineering analysis
Applied at component and system level: load-case development, global and local structural analysis, hydraulic and mechanical sizing and assessment of dynamic effects from vessel motion, cyclic loading and transient events. Verification is tied to the intended operating envelope, with limiting cases, degraded modes and abnormal conditions explicitly considered.
The method is matched to the problem. We run detailed structural and mechanical finite element analysis, fast meshless analysis for rapid design optimisation early in a project, structural analysis to the relevant codes and hydraulic circuit simulation to confirm operating modes and fault responsesn. The aim is clear technical confidence proportionate to the risk.
we apply FMECA (failure mode, effects and criticality analysis) and structured risk assessment, working through how a system could fail, what the consequences are and which failure modes matter most, so the design, the redundancy and the protective functions are implemented correctly.
Auditable by design. Documented hand calculation runs alongside the numerical work for a reason: when a classification society or marine warranty surveyor asks to see the basis of a result, it’s traceable and defensible. That is what makes our verification stand up to independent scrutiny.
Testing & assurance
Where practicable, systems are assembled, integrated and functionally tested before delivery, including factory acceptance testing (FAT) with customer witness on critical scopes, to confirm operation, interfaces and control behaviour. We routinely support third-party review, independent checking and classification involvement, with documentation, calculations and technical justification prepared accordingly.
Standards & certification
Equipment can be supplied with third-party certification where a project requires it, including support to the requirements of DNV, Lloyd’s Register, Bureau Veritas and ABS. We work to a wide range of international and industry standards – Eurocodes, LOLER and relevant offshore, marine and structural codes, selected to suit the project, regulatory context and operating environment.
Marine warranty & independent verification
preparing designs, calculations, load tests and documentation to satisfy third-party / classification design and manufacture verification. The auditable, basis above is exactly what makes a design stand up to an MWS or classificationn society reviewe. Where this verification supports a vessel modification or equipment install, it works hand-in-hand with our naval architecture & vessel engineering.
