Independent verification & analysis

Not every project requires us to build equipment. Much of our work is pure engineering: assessing existing equipment, analysing whether a structure or system will perform as required and providing the independent verification a client, checker or class society needs to sign off with confidence. Because we design and build this type of equipment ourselves, our analysis is grounded in practical behaviour. This complements the verification we apply to our own designs, but is offered as a standalone capability. What we provide

• Equipment audits & assessments – structured inspection and evaluation of drilling rigs, winches, jacking systems and similar plant, with a clear condition and compliance picture and a route to bring it up to standard.
• Structural & mechanical analysis – finite-element and hand-calculated analysis of frames, foundations, lifting structures and load paths against the operating envelope and the relevant codes.
• Risk & failure analysis – FMEA / FMECA (failure mode, effects and criticality analysis) and structured risk assessment to find what could fail, how it matters and what to do about it.
• Design qualification & independent checking – third-party verification of a design, calculation pack or temporary-works scope, prepared to satisfy a client, checker or class reviewer.
• Performance calculations & reviews – heave-compensation, anti-recoil, hydraulic and operational performance studies and independent reviews of marine operations and drilling campaigns.
• FEED & concept studies – front-end engineering and feasibility work that de-risks a project before commitment.
