15t heavy-lift winch
A 15-tonne SWL hydraulic heavy-lift winch, engineered to DNV offshore-lifting standard for deep deployment, designed and detailed for manufacture.
A compact, high-capacity hydraulic winch for deep heavy-lift deployment and recovery offshore. Rated at 15 tonnes SWL on the working layer with around 700 m of wire deployed, it is built around a piston-motor-and-planetary-gearbox drive on a Lebus-grooved drum and designed to the recognised offshore lifting-appliance standard. It is dimensioned to sit compactly at the base of a derrick and feed wire up to head sheaves, and can be deployed as a pair where a heavier lift or a spooling arrangement calls for it.
What we engineer
- Hydraulic drive – a piston hydraulic motor through a planetary gearbox, sized to the line pull and the available hydraulic supply, with proportional control via the spool valve.
- Grooved drum & rope – a Lebus-grooved drum sized to the wire’s bend-radius and safe-turn requirements, running a compacted, rotation-resistant heavy-lift rope; the fleet angle is engineered so the winch can run without a spooler, with accommodation designed in for future spooling gear.
- DNV-compliant braking and load-holding – fail-safe braking and load-holding engineered to the offshore lifting-appliance standard, so the load is held safely on loss of power.
- Compact, derrick-base envelope – a base-frame winch dimensioned to fit at the foot of a derrick and feed the head sheaves, with parts commonality designed in to standardise spares across a fleet.
- Pairable for heavier duty – two units can work together, including arrangements where one drum spools the other.
