Quality, certification & assurance

The evidence a serious buyer needs before they commit.

Equipment that operates where the cost of failure is high has to be demonstrably safe, traceable and fit for service. We build that assurance in from the start, and we prepare the documentation that lets you – or your insurer, or a class society – verify it independently.

Certification & class

Equipment can be supplied with third-party certification where a project requires it, including support to the requirements of DNV, Lloyd’s Register, Bureau Veritas and ABS, with CE or UKCA marking as applicable. We’re familiar with the documentation, calculations and technical justification that internal design reviews, client acceptance and external verification depend on.

Standards we work to

Standards selection is driven by the project, the regulatory context and the operating environment – including Eurocodes, LOLER and the relevant offshore, marine and structural design codes. For lifting and man-riding duties in particular, compliance is treated as a first-order design requirement, not a box ticked at the end.

Testing & factory acceptance

Where practicable, systems are assembled, integrated and functionally tested before they leave – including factory acceptance testing (FAT) with customer witness on the largest scopes. Our facility’s integration bay is sized for FAT-witness-scale equipment, which is exactly why a customer visit to Penryn is a commercial asset, not just a milestone.

Quality management

Our quality management system is aligned to ISO 9001 to support customer due diligence at developer and Tier-1 level, with documented procedures across design, supplier qualification, assembly and factory acceptance. The aim throughout is proportionate assurance – clear technical confidence without unnecessary cost.
