Our facility

Our facility in Penryn

Designed, built and tested under one roof.

The MintMech facility in Penryn, a dark-clad building with a glazed upper floor

From June 2026 the whole team operates from a single site in Penryn, Cornwall. It gives us full control over how complex mechanical, hydraulic and control systems are assembled, integrated and tested before they deploy to site, so equipment arrives offshore ready to work.

What the facility provides

  • A workshop with overhead-crane capability.
  • An assembly and integration bay sized for factory-acceptance-test-witness-scale equipment.
  • A modern 30-seat engineering office attached to the workshop.
  • An outdoor staging and load-out area

Why it matters

Delivering complex offshore equipment is often constrained by fragmented supply chains, late interface issues and limited chances to test before mobilisation. Assembling and testing in one place shortens and de-risks delivery: tighter control of quality and interfaces, reliable system integration before equipment leaves, reduced mobilisation risk and a single accountable partner from concept to completed assembly.

How we engage

We design in-house, then manage fabrication, assembly, integration, factory acceptance testing and commissioning under single-party accountability. Fabrication is placed with the right specialist for the job, from our strong local Cornish supply chain through to UK and international fabrication yards for large, heavy or complex work. Engagement models flex to project maturity: full design-build-commission, integration of client-supplied designs or partial builds, upgrades and integration packages.

Our facility was developed in Cornwall with support from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
