What we collect, and why

We do not collect special category data through this website, and we ask you not to send any – health information, for example – in a form or CV unless it is necessary.
What we mean by legitimate interests
Most of the data above is handled on the basis of legitimate interests. In plain terms: you got in touch with a business about business, and we need your contact details to respond usefully. We have considered whether this is fair to you and we think it is – the data is minimal, you gave it to us deliberately, we use it only for the purpose you gave it for and you can ask us to delete it at any time. If you disagree, tell us and we will stop.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data. To anyone, ever.
- We do not add you to a marketing list because you sent an enquiry or downloaded a document.
- We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers or lead-generation companies.
- We do not use your data to train artificial-intelligence models.
If we ever want to send you marketing, we will ask you separately and you will have to opt in.
Who else handles your data
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions.

Transfers outside the UK. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, that transfer is covered by the UK’s international data transfer agreement or an equivalent safeguard. Google Analytics involves a transfer to the United States; if you would rather that did not happen, decline analytics cookies and it will not.
We may also disclose data if we are legally required to.
Cookies
This site sets two kinds of cookie.
Essential cookies keep the site working – they remember your cookie choice and protect our forms from abuse. These are always on, because the site does not function without them.
Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics and tell us which pages people read. These are off until you accept them. Nothing is sent to Google before you choose.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Withdrawing is as easy as accepting.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete it – we will, unless we have a legal reason to keep it
- Restrict or stop how we use it
- Object to us using it on the basis of legitimate interests
- Send it to you or someone else in a portable format
- Withdraw consent for analytics, at any time
Email hello@mintmech.com and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Keeping it safe
The site runs over an encrypted connection. Access to enquiry and applicant data is limited to the people at MintMech who need it. CVs are stored in a protected location, not on the public web server and are deleted on the schedule above.
Children
This site is aimed at engineering and procurement professionals. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so clearly.
