A shaft conveyance o must run true against the shaft’s guides through its full travel. We design the running gear that does this, the rollers and guide interfaces on our skips, kibbles and cages that locate the conveyance against fixed steel guides and the anti-rotation arrangements that keep a slung conveyance stable. It’s designed as part of the conveyance, to the same mine-shaft standards.

What we design

  • Roller running gear – top-and-bottom rollers on the conveyance, located against fixed steel shaft guides.
  • Guide-leg interfacing – anti-rotation for slung conveyances by interfacing the running gear with the existing main-cage guide legs.
  • Designed to standard – to the BS ISO 19426 mine-shaft series (incl. rope guides), as part of the conveyance design.

We design the conveyance running gear and its interface to the shaft guidance; the fixed shaft guides and furniture themselves are typically supplied within the shaft works.
