Remote Tool Handler

We were contracted by Geoquip Marine Operations AG to supply a remote tool handling system for the safe deployment of down-hole sampling tools on a geotechnical offshore installation.

We designed our remote tool handler to allow for safe, efficient downhole tooling with minimal operator intervention. Precisely engineered, it removes roosterbox and compensated platform access and handover requirements during drilling, negating the need for manual handling and greatly improving personnel and operational safety.

The electro-hydraulic system has wireless remote control, manual backup control and electrical positioning monitoring that combines with drill position to deliver full interlocking.

Ensuring safety, reliability and efficiency are at the forefront, this system is designed with operation and maintenance personnel in mind. For ease, zero fabrication installation allows installation onto the drill derrick within 2 days.
